Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CapituAI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

CapituAI is a service that:

  • Transcribes YouTube videos using AI
  • Automatically generates chapters with timestamps
  • Allows organizing and managing transcriptions

3. User Account

To use CapituAI, you must:

  • Create an account using Sign in with Google
  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Credit System

CapituAI uses a credit-based system:

  • Each transcription consumes credits based on video duration
  • Chapter generation consumes additional credits
  • Credits are prepaid units for internal use only: they are non-transferable, have no monetary value outside the platform, and cannot be redeemed for cash
  • Unused credits do not expire
  • Refunds of credit purchases are governed by Section 5

5. Payments, Subscriptions, Refunds and Chargebacks

5.1 Payments

  • All prices are expressed in Brazilian reais (BRL).
  • Payments are processed by Mercado Pago. By paying, you also agree to Mercado Pago's terms and privacy policy. We do not store card data — it is handled and tokenized directly by Mercado Pago.
  • Credits are released after payment confirmation (for example, when a Pix payment is approved).
  • We may adjust prices at any time; the price shown at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.

5.2 Subscriptions (recurring billing)

Some plans are offered as recurring credit card subscriptions. By subscribing, you expressly authorize:

  • Automatic periodic billing (monthly or yearly, according to the plan) of the stated amount, until you cancel
  • The granting of the plan's credits on each successful billing cycle
  • Automatic renewal at the end of each period, at the same amount and frequency, unless cancelled

You may cancel at any time from your account panel; cancellation stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the cycle already paid. If billing fails, we may retry the charge and/or suspend subscription benefits.

5.3 Refunds and right of withdrawal

  • Under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC), you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 (seven) days of contracting.
  • The refund applies to unused credits. Credits already consumed correspond to services effectively rendered and may be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method, via Mercado Pago.

5.4 Chargebacks

If a payment that has already been credited is reversed or disputed, we may revoke the corresponding credits and/or suspend the account until the situation is resolved. We may suspend or terminate accounts in cases of fraud, misuse or abusive chargebacks.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for illegal activities
  • Attempt to bypass the credit system
  • Reverse engineer the service
  • Overload our servers with excessive requests
  • Transcribe copyrighted content without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

7. User Content

You retain all rights to your transcriptions and generated chapters. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and process your content
  • Use anonymized data to improve the service

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to transcribe the videos you submit to the service.

8. Intellectual Property

CapituAI and all its content (except user content) are the property of Felipe Novaes Rocha and protected by intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • That transcriptions will be 100% accurate
  • That generated chapters will be perfect

10. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances will we be liable for:

  • Loss of data or content
  • Lost profits
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

11. Use of Google APIs

CapituAI uses YouTube API Services. By using our service, you also agree to:

You can revoke CapituAI's access to your Google data via the Google security settings page.

12. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the service at any time
  • Change pricing and credit system with 30 days notice
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes will be resolved in Brazilian courts.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice in the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
